| 11-Dec-2001 FrasebaXx - "Kisses of fire (TbO&Vega Remix)" out for free download FrasebaXx is a project founded by some german fellow musicians. The members are well known scene artists Steve van Eyden and Rotate and their female singer K.T. Their first release "Kisses of fire" is a wonderful vocal trance track that can be compared to releases by Sylver or Lasgo. We were honoured that they asked us to remix this tune. | 08-Nov-2001 Vote at beatmaka.com Declared as "best of three"-vote www.beatmaka.com starts an open poll every month. In this poll the public can judge among 3 handpicked tracks from the same genre. This month we´ve got to face the poll: Our "Deutschland (techno club remix)" has been chosen and must compete against "I could love you all summer long" by 1-800-def and "Your World" by ZoneX - both artists that we know and respect. So if you want to get to the poll page, click on the pic on the left or here. 01-Nov-2001 The new album has arrived!! Yes, finally it´s done! Our third album is available! Nearly one year after our last album 'Illusions', 2 vinyl record releases and a bunch of mp3 releases we offer you an album simply named "TbO&Vega"! The simple title is easy to explain: We want to make sure that we are convinced and proud of what we´re doing. The music on this disc IS TbO&Vega! Any other title could never express this idea so clearly. The album, which contains a length of app. 60 minutes, features 12 songs. Among them are the last 4 songs, that have been already available for download in mp3 format plus 8 songs that are completely new and unreleased like "Step into future", "Amiga Speaking" and a completely new produced version of our y2k hit "Peace&Harmony" including an 8 1/2 minutes remix. The tracklist was designed to be a quick tour through a party weekend and matches the thesis "first the party, then the chill-out". From the floor burning trance-grenade over electro tracks to chilly ambient sound the CD contains everything that makes an electronic music fan´s heart jump. And the best: All tracks will be available for free download too! The only restriction is that the mp3s will not be available now but will be released one by one. So if you don´t want to spend any money on that CD you´ll have to wait and come back to get the tracks for free. | 30-Sep-2001 new mp3 tune "Vision of life (Kathys Melody)" What´s that? TbO&Vega remixing Apoptygma Berzerk? No guys! We were very surprised when we first heard of their "Kathys Song" track. Our tune´s got nothing to do with it and was ready and entitles months before we noticed that! Funny!! This one is a classic Melodic trance track containing emotional melodies and soft pad sounds as well as driving trance beats at 140 bpm. This tune is dedicated to TbO´s new girlfriend Kathy. Download it in our mp3 section. 25-Sep-2001 mp3.com reduces artist payments drastically By Oktober 1st, 2001 mp3.com will replace the monthly $1 million payback pot by a flat rate for all song plays. This flat rate is $0.005 per play. No, this is not a zero too much, it is really just a half cent per play! The all in all payback pot will reduce from $1 million to app. $280,000 and the average income for a single musician publishing on mp3.com will be cut down by 70-85%. The example with our today statistics data shows this: This is a reducement of 73% Cynically mp3.com thanks the artists in their email message for making the site what it is today and declare these changes as their "effort to provide the best service possible". 14-Sep-2001 Inferno in New York and Washington On 09-11-2001 some still unknown terrorists attacked the USA. They took over the control of 4 civil passenger airplanes and directed them kamikaze-like against the World Trade Center in New York and the department of defence (pentagon) in Washington. Both WTC tower buildings were hit dramatically and collapsed just an hour after the impacts. The 1200 ft. high buildings buried thousands of poeple, that were in the buildings at that time. Athough we are just musicians we consider it important to give a report on that. Everybody must know about this disgraceful deed, this diabolic crime. We are deeply shocked and cannot find any ideas why this had to happen- not even 3 days later. Our hearts are with the victims of this terrorist attack and with their families! |

| 19-Aug-2001 new mp3 track "Kaleidoscope"!! With "Kaleidoscope" we are going back to the roots of trance music. No stomping 4 to the floor beats, no euro offbeat bass sounds. This slow ambient trance song contains elements like floating strings, deep and hypnotic melodies and a meditative overall impression. To let this song touch your soul we recommend to listen to this one in a relaxed setting and with closed eyes! Have a nice flight!! 19-Aug-2001 new mp3 track "Deutschland (techno club remix)"!! On August, 12th we published a new mp3 track. "Deutschland (techno club remix)" was done originally by Cari (www.elfen.com). He put all samples on the net for remix reasons. We found the vocals really catchy and it was shure that we would do a remix! But we decided not to stay close to his friendly slow original track and we ended up in a rather groovy club track with aggressive synthesizer sequences. 14-Aug-2001 Interview on Raw42 Ian Sims, the man behind the UK Online-Label Raw42 did an interview with us that you can read it here. Raw42.com is a special site that collaborates with english record labels. It´s no common mp3 portal site. The artists have to show some work examples first before being selected for the artist list. That´s why we are proud to be on it! Also, our problems with mp3.com have been solved in the meantime. This means that we can use our account there with all its options again and we will publish there new music very soon! 08-Aug-2001 news of the last months... We´re sorry that there weren´t many news reports in the last weeks. The cause for this is that we have to face some serious problems in the online world as well as in the real world!! First, we are struggeling with mp3.com. Our account has been put on hold in may because they insulted us for chart-cheating. We never did something like that but they closed the account without giving any reasons. It took some time until they informed us why they did that and after we solved the problem they found another insult that wasn´t true too. And after we cleared all problems (e.g. we cannot provide direct download links or links to CD-covers anymore) their tactics changed. Now they keep us waiting and aren´t answering our emails anymore. But in return, they are still renting our music to their business partners without paying the royalties that are settled in the contract you have to sign when opening an account there. Who is behaving illegal??? We´ll see what they do next and maybe we´ll take our music completely off of mp3.com!! Furthermore we´ve had very serious problems with our record company virtual records. After there was a Remix-Competition for our Cosmic Space follow-up single started on their website they simply told us "sorry guys, we have some money problems". Bang! All projects including our"Peace&Harmony" follow up were stopped! That was very hard for us because we had produced this track from scratch and the result was really impressive! We´ve tried to get this track released by another label and handed out a lot of well done Demo-CDs that contained some tracks from the remix-competition to several other labels but except 2 neglegtions we received no feedback at all!!! We want to thank all the contibutors that worked on a remix and we are very very very sorry about the bad news. We are not the ones that are responsible for this desaster!! The band contract with virtual records ran out on July 19th - so we are unsigned again. At the moment we are working hard on new tracks that we want to use for new demo cd´s. We´ll see.... Listbot, the home of our newsletter-management, closed their free service on August, 6th. They will now charge (too much) money for further use of that service. That´s why we left it and founded a fan group at Yahoo! Besides the newsletter this group offers many more possibilities. Members will be able to chat with us, get promo-mp3s that no one else is able to get, there will be polls about promos or regular mp3-releases and of course a newsletter!! The three astronauts Virgill Grissom, Edward White and Roger Chaffey lost their lives in this accident. During a launch pad test a flash fire occured in the command module while the three men were in it. After an investigation about the accident many changes were made in design and manufacturing processes to increase the safety of the command module and the apollo lunar module. The test program was re-designated Apollo 1 in honor of the crew. With this melancholic electro-track we want to remind of this tragedy. By the way, this track is the first one on the net that we created using Reason. The text was taken from the official NASA-Sites and spoken by Vega. | 09-Mai-2001 new mp3 - "Let the whole world know the truth" Prague 1968: Unter the presidency of Alexander Dubcek the CSSR for the first time established reforms that should lead to more liberalism and democracy. The Soviet Army finished the so called "Spring of Prague" on August 21st, 1968. The involved politicians were deprived of power. Wile the soviet tanks were rolling in the streets of prague some people successfully sent help calls over radio stations. This is a historic document embedded into funky house grooves, deep basslines and tight filters. 09-May-2001 "Trip to africa" by DJ Session One meets Manuel Oettl After the launch of our "Cosmic Space" Vinyl there´s another 12" available that we are involved with! DJ Session One is a well known DJ, producer and label owner of Blutonium Records Germany. His new Record is called "DJ Session One meets Manuel Oettl - Trip to Africa". The Track was written and produced by our pals Surrounder and Le´Brisc and it´s a trance bomb! The two producers are used to compose their tracks over the internet where they´ve also met. A physical meeting indeed didn´t happened yet! But that doesn´t matter when it comes to this record. We apologize for saying always 'soon' when anybody asked when to expect a new piece of music. But indeed we were definately not lazy! An oldskool vocal sample wrapped into modern trance sounds! In this tune we used the free winamp plugin Izotope Vinyl which adds authentical 'dirt' to your digitally produced music. It brings a real turntable-atmosphere into your living-room. There are readymade turntable noise models or you can mix in the dirt by your own personal taste! This new one can be seen as an opener! | 18-Feb-2001 First Trends Yesterday our german Promotion Company Disco Pomotion J.M.B delivered the first report on how our record makes it in the clubs. Floorburner or Floorcleaner? The DJ´s that have voted for us were asked the following questions: 1. What is your personal impression? 73.6% - top, ok 18.3% - let´s see 08.0% - no! 2. If you play it in your clu will you play it...? 67.6% - immediately & often / sometimes 20.9% - give it a try 11.6% - never! 3. Which charts to you think it will enter? 67.1% Charthit, Dance Charts 22.3% maybe average 11.6% will not enter any charts 4. | 27-Jan-2001 Cosmic Space is in the Clubs!!! Since last week our Record is in the clubs! It was sent to 1400 german DJs by the promotion-agency Der Plattenmann and is now being tested. In 2-3 Weeks we expect the result of the DJ´s hit tips which is very important to plan further promotion actions! We received a few comments yet saying that it matched perfectly in a trance set and ppl didn´t run away ;-) Click on the right image for a bigger Cover-Image. 03-Jan-2001 Best wishes for the new year We wish all our site visitors a happy new year. May the force be with you. Our first action in the new year is that we changed our US-Promoter. After Phuturistic Records catched us with promises nothing happend at all. We asked often when it´ll start but they only kept making promises. Therefor we cancelled this relationship. The US-Promo is done by FusionRecords from now on.
