News 2000
2000 was an exciting year for us because we signed our first record contract! Besides that of course our appearance in a program on the 2nd biggest german tv station was a highlight too.

| 28-Dec-2000 Another mp3 release this year It wasn´t planned but due to the many requests we decided to release a new mp3 tune for your new years eve party! And it´s special: Da Breaktrancer - a very good german artists released all samples of his original tune on his site and invited to remix it. We did this and ended up in a pumpy acid-style hardtrance tune. It´s best for a party! Click on the image on the right to download it! 23-Dec-2000 y2k was great Christmas is ahead and the year 2000 only lasts a few days! Time to think about what happened this year and to risk a little preview on 2001. This year was very successful for us. We released 29 tracks this year - a great amount for a 2 person band. All in all our songs have been downloaded app. half a million times. We received a lot of praise as well as criticism which we always take serious! The highlight of Y2k was of course the deal that Virtual Records offered us! But more below... Another highlight was the TV feature in a show on germany´s second biggest TV-Station. There were so many feedbacks that we couldn´t escape our mail programs for some days. But there were also sad highlight this year. DaRhythmFreak left Athe music scene! It was a big loss to hear that our coop-producer of "Dedicated Melody" is gone. We wish him all the best and that he maybe considers a comeback next summer! His Tracks are still on the net atwww.mp3.com/drf But now a short preview: At the beginning of January 2001 the DJ-Promotion for our single "Cosmic Space" will start. Then you´ll be able to listen to our music if you go to a german club ;-) We are planning to give away a few of these pre-release vinlys! If the vinyl does well a CD release will follow in Spring 2001 in Germany and the UK. What else will come....who knows! Just so far: we have one or another ace to play out. For more info and song preview click on the picture on the left! 06-Dec-2000 Again another guestbook Jens of www.future-websolutions.de (thanx) gave us a hint that there´s another guestbook service that offers free and ad-free guestbooks that can Abe configured freely! It doesn´t look nice yet but we´ll change that! Of course it is totally empty...so please fill it! 04-Dec-2000 New counter and new guestbook Because of the fact that Xodox will cancel all free hosting services and because we moved with the site to a non-free service we had to sign a new counter and a new guestbook service. From now on all page hits will be counted by eXtreme tracking. On our welcome screen there´s a button at the right bottom. When you click it you can read detailed statistics about our site. We don´t know yet if it is possible to correct the start value of the counter to the real number of visitors.....but we´re trying! We also signed a new guestbook service at www.guestbooks.de. Our former guestbook Gästebuch had 274 entries on 28 pages. We´re trying to keep the complete guestbook! Otherwise....don´t hesitate to sign the new one! 04-Dec-2000 Our domain has moved to another provider Originally we intended a month ago to move with our site and domain to another provider. Due to some difficulties it took a long time to finish. But today the waiting was over and we´re ad-free!! Those of you who visit our site periodically may have noticed that the popup-ad is gone! Happy surfin!!! 01-Dec-2000 Cosmic Space no longer downloadable What you may have expected has noAw come true: We cannot offer our Single "Cosmic Space" for download anymore. This is caused by the fact that the CD shall be sold and therefor we cannot offer this as a gift anymore. Those of you who downloaded the song already are the lucky ones who can say that they had the song before if came out. Although we have to delete it from all our servers we know that you will still find a way to get it ;-) 01-Dec-2000 some news... We are sure that you wondered why we didn´t provide news in the last weeks. We were very very busy because Virtual-Volume created an artist page for us and we had to create some background musics. Everytime a user hit´s the page, a randomly selected music is played. We made 11 music loops and as they should not all be the same style we created musics ranging from Pop and Melodc Trance over to Techstep and House. The page is very nice! Take a look. Link The reactions after our germany TV-feature were overwhelming! We´ve had more than 30.000 Site Hits and 50.000 Downloads. Therefor our first CD-Release is forced! At first a DJ-Promotion is started. Maybe (if you are accidently in germany) this weekend - or the next - our record will be played in the clubs all over germany! mp3-special, a german mp3-Portal, wrote a special about us. | 11-Nov-2000 Age of love part 2 selected as Song of the day mp3.de selected our song Age of love part 2 (break it) as song of the day!! 10-Nov-2000 CD-ordering, new NMA, new Remix Even before the CD-Program started all 250,000 free mp3.com CD´s are ordered! Sad if you haven´t been quick enough... We have a new web promoter. After 303infinity cancelled his program we had to search for another NMA. There have been several offers and we decided to join Phuturistic Records . They promote e.g. ZoneX, subLINER or Werkstadt and we´re looking forward to work with them! Last but not least: We received a fresh new Remix of "Peace & Harmony" made by the danish trio Basscamp. We will upAload this Remix today and you can download it tomorrow! 08-Nov-2000 Get yourself a FREE CD full of mp3´s!! We received a mail from mp3.com that our song "I have a dream - Song for freedom (MLK Mix)" has been selected to be part of a CD-Promotion-Program! Mp3.com sends a free CD to 250,000 people worldwide. The CD contains the 100 most popular artists on mp3.com! It´s a great honour for us! Don´t hesitate and order one for nothing! The CD will be distributed from Nov, 13th 2000 to Dec,15 2000 - but you´ll have to be quick to get one!! 08-Nov-2000 TV-Feature was a big success!! The feature on germany´s TV-Station SAT.1 was a bomb! We didn´t expect such a mass of positive response! Within the last 2 days we´ve been visited more than 12,000 times from all european countries. This is nearly twice as much visitors than we had as October´s total!! The new Track seems to be going to no.1. It has been downloaded 2,500+ times and went straight into the Top50 of mp3.com´s Melodic Trance charts. All in all mp3.com registered 16,000 Downloads and Plays since sunday night. Virtual-Volume also registrated burning servers and "Cosmic Space" as well as "Peace&Harmony" went to the Top of the charts! Maybe you´ve noticed that our guestbook has grown rapidly. We´ve also been bombed with mails. Maybe you don´tA understand most of the guestbook contributions because most people wrote in german but believe that they were all very positive! We´ve done a Series of 16 pictures that we want to present to you! They are screenshots from the TV-Broadcast. Click on the Planetopia-Logo on the left to make a photo-tour! You can download it from now on. It´s called "Age of love Part 2 (Break it)" - so you might guess how it sounds if you know the original. It´s an hommage to one of the greatest Trance tunes ever! | 24-Oct-2000 TbO&Vega on TV This might not be so interesting for you visitors who are not from a german speaking area but we want to notify you too that germany´s 2nd biggest TV-Station SAT.1 is broadcasting a special about us! They are doing a documentation for their science magazine Planetopia about mp3 and we will be presented as a band who used mp3 to gain public notification. The program will be broadcasted on November 5th. Along with that broadcast we will release a new tune and also some screenshots! So watch out! 23-Oct-2000 303infinity promotion program stopped We´ve been notified that Mikel Fair aka 303infinity has stopped his promotion work. The cause were problems with a few artists he had on his roster (he told us that we were not the ones). Therefor he cancelled the Ewax Records program completely! 17-Oct-2000 New mp3-track online We´ve done it again! Another mp3 tune is out. It´s called Move into reality and is a mixture between clubsound and trance hymn. Maybe typical TbO&Vega style?!? Maybe you are a bit surprized that we have no Acover-graphic but due to a lack of time and ideas we couldn´t manage this in time but we will release the graphic in a few days too! Don´t worry! 12-Okt-2000 Membership at Virtual Records officially declared Today it has been published on the website of Virtual Records that we signed a contract with them. Still there are not many informations but that will change soon. After pushing a rock act named "Gallery" into the german sales charts they are now concentrating on dance music too. Besides acts like 1-800-def (greets to Holly) we will soon rush the european clubs and make the visitors scream and shout. You´d better fasten you seatbelts!! |

| 26-Sep-2000 Nominee for Top Trax of the week 38/00 at TiS Some nice news arrived this week from Traxinspace: One of our songs has been nominated for the Top Trax of the week. It´s our old one "Destination : Unknown". If you klick on the name you can download the 0.4 MB zip file. You can listen to the song with Winamp. We were a little bit amused about that nominee because the song was released in summer 99 and is nominated now... 18-Sep-2000 Site relaunch, a new albumand a new mp3-track online Again it took some time until this site has been updated but we think it tAurned out good. At first - as you might have noticed - we re-designed our page. We hope you like it. We will now send out a newsletter once a month. The Newsletter will be delivered at the beginning of a month providing you with last mont´s news so you don´t miss anything even if you didn´t visit our site for a while. If you want to order the newsletter just fill in the form on the right and click send. You can now report broken/incorrect links or suggest new links to be added to our link-collection. We´ve also released a new CD. "Illusions" brings you 12 handpicked songs ranging from hard Clubtrance over softer DeepTrance to Drum´n´Bass and Lovesongs. The CD is a D.A.M CD which means that if you order one you´ll find the 12 audio tracks to play in a normal CD-Player as well as all songs in mp3 format to save the songs on your PC or easily share our songs with your friends. An mp3-Player is also included. Hint: The CD can only be ordered if you have one of the usual credit cards And finally we have released a new mp3-track today. The No.1 in Electronica on the net, 303infinity/Ewax Records, gave us the order to remix the title song of his newest album "Audio Fantasy". It was quite hard to produce something that´s equal but we think we did a very good job! 06-Sep-2000 A sign of life! For more than 3 weeks there was no update or any other sign of life. The cause for this is quite simple - we were too busy. Our CD-Single is now ready and the ones who visited the Popkomm in Cologne and grabbed a promotion sampler from virtual-volume are the lucky first owners of the final master of the single version of "Cosmic Space". The next thing to come is a promotion plan. We still don&aAcute;t know any details but we will keep you informed about meetings and performances. At the moment we are very busy collecting new song material to be ready if our CD-Debut succeeds. A second CD-Single is partly ready and we have also some songs for a future album ready! But that depends on how successful our Singles will be. Don´t worry, we will continue supplying you with unique mp3-music soon! Until that we recommend taking a look at our complete song-archive. Maybe there´s some songs that you still don´t have... The british magazine "mp3-magazine" wrote a review about our tune House Instructor and this is what they wrote: Created specially by German trancers TbO&Vega for the Trax In Space House Music Competition, this Deep Disco groover is supposedly a lesson in how to make a house tune. A voiceover vocal, therefore, introduces each of th eelements: it's cheeky, but it does have a certain humorous appeal. |

| 14-Aug-2000 ...what happened in the last 2 weeks People´s reactions after our record-deal announcement were enoumerous! We say thank you to all people who sent us best wishes and who said that they´ll buy our CD ;-) The CD-Single which is planned will be definately come out in Germany and the UK! Right now Virtual Records is working on a ptomotion strategy and a good web-appearance (apart from this site). As they are actually having a big success with "Blue" by Gallery Awhich is their first single-release we are convinced that they will do a perfect job for us too! But now to the news of the last 2 weeks. E-Motion has received 2 features on mp3.com and also on their latest newsletter. It´s a bit funny that they featured the same track on August, 5th 2000 and August, 9th 2000 but who cares? Read the full feature in our Awards section or directly here . Our newest track Stars falling from above has also turned out becoming a success tune. On www.cb4.de it has been chosen being Hit Pick of the week. On www.uptrax.de this song has become the top new entry in their weekly Top 100 club charts reaching Position 11! These charts are presented on air every week here in germany! Peace and Harmony which was in the Top10 on these charts for at least 9 weeks has finally reached No.1! And last but not least we worked on our site. The welcome screen now features an automatic forwarding to the english Aedition if the visitor doesn´t decide within 10 seconds whether he wants to go to the english or german edition! 01-Aug-2000 ...to all fans! Today we can inform you with pride that we´ve subscribed a contract! Virtual Records, which is the "real world"Label of www.virtual-volume.com, offered us a contract! Our music will be buyable in the stores soon - but sadly first here in Germany and maybe Great Britain! We cannot tell you more details of the contract except that there will be a CD-Maxi release with a bunch of versions. If this single happens to be successful there´ll be up to 2 more maxi-CD´s and an Album-CD. Because of this fact we will not be able to release new music on the net so often anymore as we have to collect material. The tracks which we find not so good to be placed on commercial CD will still be released on the net. So there´ll be unique tracks on the net that no one can buy! And we will still keep you informed about any news due to release date or important events. Therefor we did another complete re-design of our site. We hope you like the new one. In the last edition there was a problem with the menu bar at 800x600 or less because the graphics exceeded 800 pixels width and therefor the menu bar didn´t fit into the window. To avoid this we kicked the button graphics and threw the fames out and finally placed a new logo on top. We want to celebrate this day of luck with you and present you a new net-release. Stars falling from above is for the melody lovers. Robert Miles styled this tune doesn´t have hard beats. It´s rather a song to dream. We are quite interested in your opinion about this piece of music so don´t hesitate to sign our guestbook. Why should we waste words on advAertising this song - just check it out!! And finally we received some song features on mp3.com. Cosmic Space has been featured track in the electronic genre on July, 14th 200 and The Elements on July, 30th in genre euro dance. | 19-Jul-2000 We joined mp3aar Today we´ve joined the "mp3.com artists against racism" initiative...read more about it on the right!!! 11-Jul-2000 Another new track online And here we go with another brandnew track. It´s called "I have a dream - Song for freedom" and obviously the title says much about the content. We combined the legendary vocals of Martin Luther King´s address from August 28th, 1963 with groovy club-rythms and Piano-Melodies. The outcome is a very good track to dance to. 07-Jul-2000 Dedicated Melody Maxi-CD available ! A new CD is out! "Dedicated Melody" is our second Maxi-CD Single. To make a special offer we overworked the track completely, recorded new vocals (because there were some copyright problems caused by the original ones) and did a new mixdown. Additionally there are 2 newA versions of that song on the CD that are not available on the net anywhere and furthermore this CD contains 3 Bonus tracks, among them our coop tune with the swedes from Lagoona! We worked hard on this top secret project and finally we are very proud to present you the first TbO & Vega sample packs with some jewels from our sound archives. There are 3 packs available, starting with some 3 very long fx pads, going over to a package of 24 drumloops and finishing with a collection of 17 pad and lead sounds. All samples have been created and edited by TbO &Vega, are in high quality 16 bit stereo 44kHz and have been put together in three mp3 files for easy download. We cooperated with Andreas Viklund from the famous swedish super-act Lagoona. The result is a happy tune with a catchy melody and much dance inside. You can absolutely hear that this is a coop tune. We hope you like it! Furthermore we are proud annouce that we will appear on our first CD-Sampler beside terrific artists like 303infinity, SimonV, SONiC RANGE, Fusion 19, DJ Turbo or Paul Cooper. Just click the small picture on the left! 10-Jun-2000 Featured Artist at virtual-volume! We haven´t been very active parts of virtual-volume yet and we still have "parked" there just 2 songs. Therefor we are very happy to receive this feature: "Cosmic trance reaching planet terra. Mission goal: Taking mankind on a cosmic trip!Link 08-Jun-2000 June, 8th again Much time has passed since we took part in the traxinspace Passion&Desire music competition. The time of submission was fom November 2nd to November 30th, 1999 and now 7 months later the results are online. We entered with our Lovesong "Be my angel"and we have placed 2nd!!! You can find thiAs song in our music section at Downloads 1999 or directly here 08-Jun-2000 Counter wrecked Damn, this is embarrassing! On June, 2nd we were talking about a special surprize for the 15,000th Visitor on our site and now this: As we were checking our site statistics at our Webspace-Provider Xodox we noticed that our bottom-left counter wasn´t working right. The Xodox has been counting all hits since January, 4th y2k saying that today we have app. 18,500 hits. The other counter just showed app. 14,500 counts. We sometimes noticed that the counter couldnt connect to the server but we didn´t pay much attention on this. It was a big surprize to see that the gap was that big. Finally we decided to update our counter settings and restart with the right value (this value is also not correct because only hits since January, 4th y2k. The Hits in the time between September, 23rd 1999 and January, 3rd y2k are lost!) If you are interested in the updated official Xodox-statistics then hit the Reload-Button. | 30-May-2000 Main design change Surprized? We changed the main design again. Now the menubar it on top and the logo at the bottom of the screen. The main frame looks a bit computerish ;-) It became necessary to change the site because at first those menu buttons we used before were absolutely ugly! Second was that we made not enough buttons. As you can see above we now have some merchandise articles for you. It will just take another few days until the stuff-shop opens! 29-May-2000 Long time no see... Was a quiet about us in the last 2 weeks. Well, we worked hard on our airplay shows at GT-Radio (see news from May, 13th), finished another song. Last week TbO had to do a trip to lovely Paris for a conference. Vega has beed awarded Artist of the day at www.tranceinspace.com on May, 21st. Tranceinspace is part of the Traxinspace imperium... Today we can announce our next Release "Peace and Harmony" which will be out in the next days! We will offer a free mp3 Version and a complete 12" CD with some other versions on it in our CD-Shop! We didn´t know that our music is on that server. But due to the cooperation between www.mp3.es and www.mp3.de our music is available for spanish users too! Great Job! :-) We can also announce a new track named "The Elements" which comes in a row with our latest success tunes. This one is also a fine trance tune! Check it out! We hope that we will soon get soAme pictures and maybe the whole DJ-Set in mp3 to put on this site! 25-Apr-2000 Another scandalous track thief exposed Damn...another damn lamer stole a tune from us, made it just a minute longer and called it "Remix". That guy calls himself DJ Bionic X and he released that "Remix" on www.uptrax.de We took note of this when surfing around on this site. The saddest thing about this is that this "Remix" was chosen as a talent tip tune which means that it was played on air last sunday on a german radio station without our names mentioned. We informed uptrax.de as soon as we took note of this and they immediately deleted this fake tune. Thanx for the quick action, guys!! 25-Apr-2000 Dead or alive? Sorry...sorry...sorry! We´ve been neglecting this news section for a really long period although much has happened since April 8th. On April 12th we released " Cosmic Space" which has quickly become a very big hit. This tune became song of the day at www.mp3.de on April 16th. We received many positive reactions on this tune and we want to thank all of you who sent us their comments. We promise that we will continue the work!!! ;-) Some scandalous things happened too in the last 2 weeks: We got note of a guy who released our former available Remix of Alice Deejay´s "Better off alone" saying it was his own work. Vega only noticed that by accident wAhen surfing through mp3.com´s charts. We released that tune in November 99 but decided quickly to take it off the net because of copyright problems. But the problem is solved because mp3.com deleted that tune and the guy sent a regret to us! We were also very busy with music. There´s another professional remix competition running until today :-) at www.maschinenmensch.com. We made 2 Remixes of the popular tune "Domo Origato" and we hope that we will win one of the offered prices. Sadly we cannot offer the remixes for download until the competition results are online and we receive permission to release our remixes. Further news are that we became part of the www.mp3reich.de archive. Thanks and greets to the staff there! 08-Apr-2000 CD-Shop open As you can see above we added a CD-Shop to our site. We released our first 12" Maxi CD containing all the House-of-Music Mixes plus 2 Bonus tracks. We are planning to offer more CDs in the future because we receive so many requests for CDs.
